Jan 15, 2009 – The availability of E-Rep
Uniport Natural Language Processing Division “Semantica” is announcing today the “E-Rep”, an Electronic Representative with free language understanding capabilities. E-Rep handles free dialogs between human to machines, and is used in Call Centers, and service web sites, as a substitute to the traditional IVR systems. E-Rep helps increase customer satisfaction while saving significant costs.
Customer satisfaction from Automatic Response System, mainly IVR, is declining. The main reason is that customers are experiencing too many prompts before getting the desired menu and the lack of relevant menu option available to address the customer enquiry. Customers face also issues when searching for information in an enterprise service web site – it is almost impossible to get the right answer to an enquiry by using a standard keywords search engine. E-Rep is the ideal solution for the customer care division, via the Call Center, as well as the enterprise web site.
E-Rep is a platform that accepts customer’s complaints instantly, any time, and without the need to hold on to the telephone line. A platform that is able to analyze customer enquiries in free text, and to handle 50% of all enquiries automatically without a need of a human Rep. This increases customer satisfaction, reduces the number of incoming telephone calls to the call center, and reduces the call center operational expenses.
“Semantica is developing semantics text recognition systems that are based on Natural Language Processing technology (NLP) and Machine Learning. The Semantic Role Labeling (SRL) technique which is used by Semantica provides an understanding accuracy of approx 85% compared to accuracy of approx. 35% of keywords based technologies. This enables us to offer an E-Rep that is capable of interacting with customers calls automatically.” Said Tal Dayan Semantica’s CEO. “To achieve our plans, we recruited the ultimate technical team for this job, Professor Dan Roth who is an international leader in the area of Natural Language Processing, and a team of experts in the area.” Added Dayan.
